You do not frighten me -

I used to think blank pages were a threat

But now I quite enjoy

The knowledge that mere words

Can be cajoled and scattered

Into shape

Like some illegal game of Scrabble

Where your rules don't apply

And I

Can set out what I choose

Checking the rules once they exist

Not worrying what they might be

Before I have begun.
